Dr. Mahvareh Akhgar

Dr Mahvareh Akhgar completed her three-year Pediatric Dentistry Specialty Program at prestigious Melli University, Iran, in 2003, obtaining the first rank in National Specialty Board Examination. Since then, she has been practicing Pediatric Dentistry and providing comprehensive specialty dental care for her patients from infancy through adolescence. She also taught dental students as an Assistant Professor of Pediatric Dentistry for four years. Her passion to work for children with special needs led Dr Mahvareh to further her education in the field of “Hospital Dentistry”, and she completed a six-month Certificate Course in “Sedation and pain management” at world famous Eastman Dental Hospital, London, UK in 2006. After moving to Toronto in 2013, Dr Mahvareh successfully completed NDEB Equivalency Process and National Board Examination, and obtained her license to practice dentistry in Ontario. Dr Mahvareh is proudly a member of Ontario Dental Association (ODA), Canadian Dental Association (CDA), Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario (RCDSO) and British Dental Association (BDA). In her spare time, Dr Mahvareh enjoys spending time with her family and friends, outdoor activities and reading books.
