About
Dr. Durkot was born and raised in Toronto. She was educated in Toronto and graduated from The Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Toronto with a degree in dentistry in 1989. From 1999 to 2012 Dr. Durkot was an instructor, acting as the Comprehensive Clinical Care Coordinator for the senior students at the Faculty of Dentistry. Dr. Durkot maintains her membership in the Ontario Dental Association (ODA) and the Halton Peel Dental Association (HPDA). In 2004, Dr. Durkot joined a team of dentists, hygienists and other support staff on a 10 day excursion to Guatemala where they worked as volunteers. Our team provided dental care in a remote area of the country. Dr. Durkot has a great interest in travel and photography and also enjoys outdoor activities such as camping, hiking, cycling and tennis.

I am very motivated and excited to be able to provide a high quality of dental care in a gentle manner and in a comfortable environment. I have had numerous patients say that the local anesthetic technique that I use is the best they have ever experienced. I have a passion for helping people and minimizing the anxiety they may feel in the dental office.
What are the top 3 treatments that you focus on?
I enjoy the variety of treatment that I am able to provide as a general dentist for my patients. I particularly enjoy working with children, providing cosmetic dentistry and helping to relieve the pain experienced by patients who come in on an emergency basis.
What are you proud of in your practice?
We have a fantastic team of professionals working in our dental clinic, each one of us is dedicated to helping provide the highest quality of dentistry in a friendly and comfortable environment.
Which cases do you enjoy treating? Why?
Some of the most enjoyable cases I treat are patients who have not had access to dental care for a period of time. Helping them to restore their mouth to a healthy state and helping them to be proud of their smile is very satisfying.

Day one was a free x-ray and examination. They took down my insurance info, was patient, and all my appointments was quick with no pain. I required teeth to be pulled and was expecting pain, and it felt like two pitches. It was done in less than one hour, and done perfectly.
