Dr. Vafa Mirshams

Vafa Mirshams, DDS, is an experienced cosmetic and family dentist who has been practicing dentistry since 2001. She has been a valued member of the team at Lone Star Dental Care in Frisco, Texas since 2007, where she continues to provide comprehensive, high-quality dental care to patients of all ages. Prior to joining and eventually merging with Lone Star Dental Care, Dr. Mirshams owned and operated her own private practice in Farmers Branch, Texas, where she built a strong reputation for her clinical expertise, patient-centered approach, and commitment to long-term oral health. Dr. Mirshams earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology and Chemistry from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, where she developed a strong academic foundation in the sciences. She then relocated to Dallas in 1997 to attend Baylor University School of Dentistry, now known as The Texas A&M College of Dentistry, where she was awarded an academic scholarship in recognition of her academic excellence. After graduating in 2001, she was selected to complete a highly regarded general practice residency program at the Dallas Veterans Medical Center, where she received advanced training over the course of twelve months and gained valuable experience treating a diverse patient population. With over two decades of clinical experience, Dr. Mirshams brings a deep passion for dentistry and a strong commitment to improving the oral health and overall well-being of her patients. She is dedicated to delivering personalized care that emphasizes comfort, trust, and long-lasting results. Her approach combines technical skill with compassion, ensuring that each patient receives thoughtful treatment tailored to their individual needs and goals. Outside of the office, Dr. Mirshams enjoys spending quality time with her husband and their two daughters. She also values maintaining an active and balanced lifestyle, and enjoys outdoor activities, fitness, cooking, and traveling.
