Hey there! I am Dr. Koven and I am one of the Dentists at Lakeridge Dental. I became a dentist since 1996 after I completed my Bachelor of Science Degree at the University of Toronto in 1992 and subsequently moved to Boston, Massachusetts where he received his Doctor of Medical Dentistry degree from the distinguished Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. After I finished my education in 1996, I moved to Burlington, Vermont where I elected to expand what I learned in school during a one-year residency at the Fletcher Allen Memorial Hospital, considered to be one of the most prestigious Level 1 trauma centers in the United States. Here I treated patients on a trauma level as well as on an elective basis. During my residency, I was closely affiliated with plastic surgeons, cranial facial surgeons and ear nose and throat surgeons. I also had the privilege to treat many children who had not had prior access to proper oral care. In the last few years, I have developed a passion for computerized dentistry, and I devote many hours continuing my education to further increase his knowledge in this area. I came back to my beloved Toronto, to be near my family, and to practice my lifelong passion “dentistry”. I am an avid baseball fan, a devoted husband, and father to three wonderful children.

I ended up seeing Dr. Blumenfield instead and he was great! I had to wait quite a while past my appointment time but things happen and I typically expect that when it comes to seeing a dentist is doctor as it's hard to estimate a time for any procedure. I haven't been to the dentist in a long time and while of course I was told this is not a good idea, I didn't feel overly judged. I was treated with respect and everything was explained to me in great detail with kindness.
