Dr. Leo Kovbel

Dr Leo practices all aspects of general dentistry with a special interest in orthodontics. He obtained his dental training at McGill University, preceding with a BMSc (Hons)in Pharmacology. Dr Leo enjoys working with patients of all ages, including the little ones. His approach to providing care is simple, "Treating each patient as if a family". Always making patient's comfort his first priority amounts to happy patients.

Dr. Leo graduated from McGill’s Dental School with a few awards behind his name. He is a lifelong self-learner and excels at constantly updating his knowledge and skills. With a great sense of humor, gentle hands, and a perfectionist drive, his dentistry is a masterpiece.

What are the top 3 treatments that you focus on?

After undergoing extensive training after dental school in orthodontics for general dentists, I really enjoy improving smiles orthodontically. At the same time, I love other aspects of dentistry instead of doing just one thing. I also enjoy performing root canals, which are painless!!! And cosmetic crown and bridge work can be fun and challenging, both qualities that I admire in my profession.

What are you proud of in your practice?

Seeing children become teenagers and getting beautiful smiles with orthodontic treatment in the process. Those transformations are so life transforming, they make me proud.

Which cases do you enjoy treating? Why?

Cases that require a general dentist's perspective. Whenever I treatment-plan a smile, it is the whole patient, smile, every tooth that gets thought of, including any facial pain, prognosis of heavily restored teeth, gum health, impact of movement, etc. It's like a chess game, and who doesn't like that?
