Dr. Henry Ma

Originally from Alberta, Dr. Henry Ma moved to Ontario and graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto. He then moved to Sydney, Australia where he obtained his Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Sydney. Dr. Ma has now returned home to Toronto to plant his roots with his wife and their Goldendoodle, Rory. At the dental office, Dr. Henry Ma strives to build meaningful relationships with his patients to establish a strong sense of trust and satisfaction. When he is not at the office, he enjoys exploring new trails to bike, hike and ski, and trying new restaurants and hidden gems. Why should patients choose you as their provider instead of others in the area?

Dentistry can be overwhelming! Procedures can sound confusing and complicated. My goal is to understand the needs and wishes of my patients, and to educate them in a manner that I too would want if I were a patient.

What are the top 3 treatments that you focus on?

I enjoy all aspects of dental treatment! I'm particularly interested in saving teeth (fillings, root canal treatment and crowns) and removing teeth (extractions), where appropriate for the patient.

What are you proud of in your practice?

My number one priority is ensuring patients receive comprehensive care that meets all of their needs. This includes focusing on disease prevention (cavities, gums, or infections), maintaining structure (cracked teeth or lots of previous dental work), and improving esthetics (cosmetic bonding, repositioning teeth, or whitening).

Which cases do you enjoy treating? Why?

I enjoy treating all cases! At the end of the day, if a patient leaves happy regardless of what was done, and with all their questions answered, then it provides me with great personal satisfaction.
