Dr. Dmitri Nikolayevich Gontcharov

I would never recommend this dentist. He did my implant and got it into my sinuses. As a concequnce, I have developed sinusitis and whole bunch of other unpleasant issues going with it. Dr. Gontcharov would not do any follow-up. He would not listen to my concerns and behaive in vary unprofessional and rude manner. He is ok before he takes your money. As soon as you pay, he will never adress any of your problems caused by poor implant job he does. I did a panoramic XRay with another dentist and it clearly shows that the Gontcharov's implant is into my sinuses and it causes me a great deal of discomfort, pain and distress. Moreover, he uses so-called tempered implants that have an increased failure rate and practically impossible to remove if something goes wrong. Something will always go wrong if the implant job is done by Dr. Gontcharov. So, I am stuck with this problem. I am planning on hiring a lawyer and contacting Ontario Dental Association about it and about Dr. Gontcharov's professional misconduct. Please, do not trust this dentist especially not for an implant job.

He cancelled and rescheduled my appointments several times. I was about to go to another dentist but stayed with this one. Big mistake. He did a tooth extraction, some filling and an implant. The tooth extraction was ok and healed quite fast. After he put the implant in and put a temporary cup, before putting a crown, I had a discomfort and strange symptoms of heaviness inside of my sinuses area and swelling showing outside. I tried to address this with him before the final stage (crown) and after. But, he would actually walk out of the room and send his assistant to talk to me. She, of course, kept saying that it could not be from their work done on the implant. He would not do any proper follow-up or additional tests to address my concerns. He does a poor job, takes money and behaves in very unprofessional and arrogant manner. He has not responded to my written requests to release a copy of my dental records either. No way, I would recommend this unprofessional moneymaker to anyone

The wait time was reasonable, service professional and courteous. There were no issues after the procedure (root canal), and there was no need to come back for a follow-up visit. I would use this doctor again and would recommend him to anyone.
