Dr. Akash Datt Born and brought up in New Delhi, India, pursued his BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) from Kuvempu University in 1998 with the dream of bettering as many smiles as possible during his career. After working at his own private practice in New Delhi for 11 years and then switching over to working in a hospital setting for 6 years he decided to take his passion and penchant for learning to the next level. Akash then moved to Canada where he managed to successfully enroll in the highly competitive Internationally Trained Dentists program earned his(DDS) Doctor of Dental Surgery from UWO (London, Ontario). Now, armed with 17 years of clinical experience in India and also Canadian dental experience, he is excited to be a part of our clinical practice. Akash wants to make sure that his patients are comfortable and they look forward to their dental appointments. He believes in comprehensive dental care focused around individual needs and has a special interest in esthetic and conservative dentistry. He tries to make these procedures pain free and interactive with his patients. He believes that every individual has a different personality and depending on their needs, he customizes the treatment plan individually as per their requirements. The staff at the front were a little short with me however I was one of the first patients after COVID so I understand their tone. Dr Datt was extremely friendly, he explained what he was looking for and what he was going to do before starting which I appreciate as a nervous patient. It was a pleasant experience overall and I have less anxiety about my next visit! I'm very happy!

As professional & thorough as any dentist I've been to; teeth feel clean, exam was comprehensive, etc. Probably could do with some equipment updates, though. My chair was slightly wobbly, which seemed to give my hygienist a bit of a hard time, especially when flossing my teeth. And, the '82 Heliodent X-Ray machine required a bit of a fine touch to get it to stay in just the right place.

Everything was super smooth, they had me in an out in an hour with a proper clean done and some recommendations on how to maintain. Everyone was super friendly and the prices were reasonable. My experience at the office was amazing. The staff was incredibly helpful, kind and awesome! The Opencare system, on the other hand, was terrible. I initially booked my appointment last Wednesday, and when I showed up I was asked if I had received confirmation from Opencare, which I had not. Opencare didn't book me in their system and in the same lobby were 2 other individuals who had also booked through Opencare but also didn't receive confirmation and didn't have an appointment booked. I have heard this complaint from a number of people who have used the platform and it is terrible as it reflects poorly on the dentist when it isn't their fault.

Very accommodating office - I had to reschedule last minute because I had an important meeting pop up. The receptionist was super nice and changed it to a later time for me. Ended up having Dr. Goldberg (very friendly & professional). The best part of my experience was my hygienist, she was so amazing! Very kind, easy to talk to and made sure I was always comfortable. They could definitely do with an office decor upgrade though (which I think they are in the process of)!
