Dr. Afsaneh Hosseini

Dr. Afsaneh strongly believes in a preventative approach to dental care that is holistic and varies by age group. She sets the patient at the centre of everything she does and her background as a prosthodontist, along with her enthusiasm for learning new techniques gives her the ability to recognize the needs of each group. From dental care for children, cosmetic dentistry for adults, to specific considerations for seniors. She will provide different treatments according to the patient’s needs. Dr Afsaneh graduated with honors as a Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Tehran in 1991. Her passion to improve her skills led her to pursue a specialty in the field of Prosthodontics in 1997. Prosthodontics is a field of dentistry about cosmetic, veneers, implant, crown, bridge, and dentures. After completing her degree she served as an assistant professor in Iran for a couple of years Soon after moving to Canada Dr. Hosseini continued her studies at the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Dentistry, and graduated as a DDS. Since she graduated, she has improved her knowledge continuously, by taking part in different courses and trainings.

Why should patients choose you as their provider instead of others in the area?

The approach to dental care may vary from patient to patient and I will recognize the needs of each and every one. A kid for example, needs different treatment than a senior or adult. By putting the patient at the centre and build a relationship of trust I am able to provide the care my patients need and expect of me.

What are you proud of in your practice?

I am proud to say that my clinic provides the highest standard of dental care using the latest of technology and specializes in preventive dentistry by looking at dental health from a holistic perspective. I offer both cosmetic and general dentistry under one roof, which means that I can do many procedures in one appointment. For example, I can provide prosthetic treatment and dental care for patients with jaw deficiency, i.e. maxillofacial defects, as well as treat disabled patients that would otherwise not be able to go to the dentist.

Which cases do you enjoy treating? Why?

I enjoy all dental care treatments. I love dentistry and go to work with a smile everyday. There is no other way of saying it: I really love my job!
