He is both a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
We would definitely recommend Dr.Yanover. Our daughter needed extensive work done and everybody in the office was more than happy to help us. Our questions were answered, and our anxiety up-eased. Our 4 year old was in the office 3 times: for initial appointment, surgery and follow up. And every single time she had no reservations going there. Everything was explained to us thoroughly, estimates given, and staff called us to remind about appointments. Everybody is highly professional and very helpful. Thank you Dr. Yanover and staff!

I would highly recommend Dr yanover to anyone! He was absolutely amazing! I took my daughter there after her family dentist was unable to help us. We first went before Christmas and realized she needed surgery. Dr yanover temporarily fixed the problem until her surgery so she wouldn't be in pain. He gave her 4 new front teeth that look amazing! Now she loves to smile and show them off to everyone! Dr yanover and his staff made us both feel very comfortable and at ease! I am now switching dentists for my daughter to stay with him! Thank you Dr yanover!!!!!

I would not recommend this dentist to anyone, please don't put your child through it, my gut told me everything was wrong. After meeting with us he made comment about my child's mental illness, yet had no idea what he was talking about. The staff was very rude to me, the dentist sloughed me off when I asked questions. They will not let you stay in the room with you're child, and want to tie them down so they can't move their arms, this scares me as an adult, let alone a child. VERY INHUMANE!

I was referred to Dr. Yanover's office by our family dentist as my child needed to have some dental work completed and our dentist felt that it was better to have a paediatric dentist look at my child's teeth. Upon coming to Dr. Yanover's office last year, we were greeted by the receptionists (who acknowledged our presence, even though she was on the phone). My child was anxious about having another dentist look at his teeth but Dr. Yanover and his staff made him feel comfortable with the visit. After being provided with the options (sedation in the office and general anaesthetic), we thought it was best to follow Dr. Yanover's suggestion for general anaesthetic. Our child has recently returned to Dr. Yanover's office to have work completed under a mild sedative and our experience with the professionalism of the office is bar none. I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for a knowledgeable and professional dentist. Our overall experiences are great. My child actually looks forward to the next appointment which is 9 months away!Reading the negative review below is what sparked me to write my review as I was offended at the comment "what kind of parents you are!!!" If you want to air your thoughts about your experience that is one thing, but to bring other families into it and question another parents' judgement is completely unacceptable, especially when you were not at the office for any other appointment but for that of your child.

I am disappointed to read such a degrading review of Dr. Yanover. I have used other dentists in the past and one day was referred to Dr. Yanover for one of my children....He was both knowledgeable and compassionate. He has treated my children with and without sedation or anesthesia. In the three years that I have been bringing my children to his office I feel that he and his staff have always taken the time to explain what is going on and what needs to be done. We had our most recent visit today and on the 5th of February. The environment is calm, the staff polite and compassionate, and most importantly...my children have healthy, beautiful smiles.Thank you Dr. Yanover and staff!

I have absolutely no use for this doctor, he has no clue what the word gental means. I should have known from my first visit there that this was not a place I wanted to take my children, I should have listened to my inner self. The receptionist were rude and disrespectful. The doctor was a complete erangant smartass, I was told to leave the room while the procedure was taking place. They called me in after he was done one tooth and told me she was too anxious and then proceed to ask me if I wanted to see what see how she freaks out when he turns his drill on, r u kidding me it was like it was some joke and he was going to turn it on and let me watch her spazzing while she was hog tied up completely inproffesional and disrespectful to ward my child and I.My daughter started puking when I was trying to get her things on, with her dead weight on me I was trying to hold her up and a container for her to be sick in and it was to much she laid out on the floor and 3 ladies there just sat and stared at me trying to get her up and not one person helped me .... I WILL NEVER RECOMEND THIS SOCTOR FOR MY WORST ENEMY, he was absolutely HORRIBLE and DOES NOT deserve to be doing this he has no compaasion for these children and honestly I am totally appalled by all the other comments I have read saying he is an awesome person makes me think what kind of parents you all are !!!!

Couldn't be happier. My 3 year old was new to dentist and was referred to Dr. Yanover to do a couple fillings. The staff was professional and kind to her. The setup is perfect for children to keep them calm and happy through their visits. They handled me and her with kindness. As this was a new experience and we were both nervous. Through the procedure he was kind and soothing to my daughter and handled her situation calmly and professionally. We are furtunate to have a Dr. Of this caliber in this area to handle our children.

I would not recommend this dentist to anyone. His bed side manner is awful and makes even adults feel uneasy. It is no wonder he has to put so many children under sedation or to sleep. I would never recommend this dentist to anyone ever. I have had a terrible experience with this doctor.

I would not recommend this doctor. I was told my daughter had 4 cavities and that they needed to be filled. He did not take any time with her or put her at ease. He just kept saying she is a nervous child which couldn't be farther from the truth and he would not even know considering he has never even spoken to her. She screamed through the entire procedure even after the freezing. Later that week after her appointment I received the news from her school who had done a dental screening on her a week prior that the results were that she had NO cavities. I am not sure what is going on at this clinic but I would not take my daughter back there again. I definitely would NOT recommend this dentist.

When we took our son for his first dental visit, our family dentist referred us to Dr. Yanover, as our son needed extensive dental work done. Everyone under the sun started giving us advice on what to do, who to use, and how to save money. We were even told not to use Dr. Yanover, but we trust our family dentist, so we took his advice and went to the diagnostic appointment. With this visit, we chose to work with Dr. Yanover for our son's 7 cavities, 2 crowns and 2 root canals. He and his staff were friendly, efficient, knowledgeable, and came up with ways to save us money, while fixing our little man's teeth. They made him feel comfortable and safe through the entire ordeal. At the follow up appointment he even gave our son a little teddy bear and thanked us for choosing him to work with us. We would recommend Dr. Yanover to anyone needing this kind of care for their child. He and his staff were amazing. We could not be happier. Thank you Dr. Yanover!

The doctor was very understanding with our child, knowing that she was special needs, he treated her in a manner that was very fitting and got the best possible co-operation from her. We are grandparents with custody of 2 special needs grandchildren, and it is great to have someone that makes this as easy as it could possibly be under the circumstances. The dental work that was needed to be done, was done at the NHS and was done in the most professional manner possible and went easily and with no issues. I would recommend Dr. Yanover to anyone with children especially special needs children.

I was referred to this dentist because my child is seven. She has seven cavities. I was told that she had to receive laughingstock gas and freezing as part of the treatment. I was told he would fill a couple at a time. I took my daughter in and when he came in the room she was told to sit in the chair. (She was not crying she was not anxious ) and then without explaining anything to her or us (parents ) he placed a nasal prong over her nose and held her mouth shut ! She began to get upset and so did I !! I let it happen for a couple min before finally standing up and telling him to stop (her body started shaking) he then told me my child was too anxious and that treatment could not be completed unless she was out under general anesthetic ! I was very upset with his recommendation because she was not at all anxious until he forced this on her !! I have since gone to a regular dentist in which he has filled two teeth and explained step by step and she had no issues !!! I would not recommend

My 7 years old had numbers cavities and none of her teeth was healthy. So, we tried to find good qualified pediatric dentist in many offices around GTA,no luck.I am in dental profession 23years and I know who is good when I talk to.Finally ,We went to see Dr.Yanover.He gently, carefully ,thoroughly examed my daughter's teeth and he told me about his plan.He suggested to put 5 caps over the molars, some RC treatments, and may extract 4 anteriors on both upper and lower. He can get everything done while my during daughter sleep on the chair in the hospital. His knowledge, professionalism and the way taking care of children, greatly affect our decision. We accepted his plan .The surgery lasted less than an hour,5caps,4 extracted, and none of the teeth was RC treated! So fast,so great,so safe!My daughter was doing very well after surgery. We feel so happy with her dental works! The final cost?much lower than other offices asked for.I strongly recommend Dr. Yanover to everyone here!

My daugher had to have a couple of cavities filled and 4 crowns on her front teeth. The staff was wonderful there, they really tried to make us feel comfortable. The initial consultation with Dr. Yanover was ok. During the actual procedure he was great! He explained everything to us and we felt reassured with the entire process. My daughter was very cooperative and calm during the procedure due to the medication they gave her. I did not like however that they make you pay up front for anything that is being done. Between the two visits, my daughter's bill was over 1500.00 dollars and although my insurance was covering 100% of it and the office was aware of this, I still had to pay for all of it and go through my insurance on my own. My regular dentist does not do this. Also his office is very small and with all the children and parents in there, there isn't even room for a stroller. I would recommend this dentist to anyone whose child needs extensive work.

By the sound of this comment him not treating immigrants right shows that you are an immigrant and you might have had "A" bad experience but i do not agree that his main focus is immigrants because that i disagree with strongly hes really works with his patient as closely as possible to help them with dental and to perform his wonderful experience and educated knowledge on his patients to get better results for everyone !

Dr.Yanover fixed our toddler's teeth after our previous dentist did not solve the cavities to our satisfaction. He put caps on the teeth as fillings in toddlers often come out like our son's had. This he was able to do in hospital, so our son was not awake during the procedure and is not afraid of dentists or brushing his teeth. Make sure to get your toddler a dentist that services mainly children like we did. It makes the whole process much easier, painless and informative. With plenty of experience Dr. Yanover is a great choice. Our son is very happy.

Dr.Yanover treats immigrant parents like people without any education. My son was been reffered to Dr Yanover by other doctor because of his retirement, he needed to be done only 3-4 cavities. Dr.Yanover had found 17 cavities, he said he will be done them in once - will put him asleep and will remove all front teeth, and put crowns on other teeth. That will cost about $4000. I decided to go to other doctor and he successfuly treated my son's teeth ( 4 cavities!!!) in 3 visits .Total cost less $400. Thanks God I went to other doctor!!!

He respected our concerns and comforted our son. He was fast and efficient. If your reading all these comments wondering if hes the right dentist for your child. Then know that he is. If you have a child who isn't afraid of the dentist you can go to a regular dentist. HOWEVER If you have a child with severe anxiety and fear (ie, theyre not going to open their mouths and get the work done) you can come here. This dr and his nurses are very interested in your child's oral health. And yes prepared they MAY lecture you on what you allow your child to eat... It is expensive, and some parents don't like the techniques used, but face it, they have to get in and get the work done. They use videos as distraction which helps, they are also certified to use gas, which my child needed to relax him. I found the doctor very knowledgeable and a little on the serious side...although all my other children have no problem with going to our regular dentist, I WILL CONTINUE with Dr. Yanover for my son with ADHD, until he is over his anxieties about going to get work done on his teeth. I am glad this service exists.

Since birth I have been going to this man. For the most part he and his staff have been nothing but kind to me. Although I do by no means have a outstanding oral health they have always offered constructive criticism and tips for me to follow. If my appointment is at 2:00, plus or minus 10 minutes I will be admitted. I have had no cavities since my baby teeth largely because of his kindness and assistance. Thanks to Dr. Yanover and staff who removed many teeth and then sent me for orthodontic care i now have a great smile. The only possible suggestion is that they are honest, blatantly so. If your a mother who knows your child chomps down on sour keys and chocolate all day do not expect a smile and a shrug. His staff work hard to ensure that kids get off on the right foot, not so as to ensure that parents feel great about their risky allotments. If you want an honest staff and a hard working dentist I would HIGHLY recommended this office!
