Awesome service! They took care of me and told me what I needed to take care of my teeth health. Easy insurance process. They also gave me a toothbrush and toothpaste after the check-in exam.

I am a new patient with Dr. Tanega. I arrived for my appointment. Jenny, Dr. Tanega's assistant, was very professional, courteous, and personable. She gave me an overview of the process that I was undergoing. Dr. Tanega was also very professional, and had a great disposition. She was very friendly and made me feel at ease. She explained everything, and, when performing the procedure, she made sure that I was comfortable. Dr. Tanega explained next steps, and I booked an appointment for another procedure. Overall, my experience was great, and I would recommend her to my friends and family, and strangers, too!

I had to wait a while to see the dentist once my cleaning was done. And when I saw the dentist, I felt rushed. Seems like they were understaffed or inexperienced. The cleaning felt very thorough though.

The office appeared to have new and modern equipment. The receptionists were kind. My appointment had to be rescheduled (during the onset of the Covid-19 Pandemic) and during my visit the staff appeared to have implemented some additional hygienic precautions (before social distancing rules and mandates were enforced) which I appreciated.

It was probably the best dentist visit I’ve ever had! Dr.Tanega sat down with me to explain to me every little detail being done to me as far as the cleaning. She was very precised and I didn’t feel rushed at all. She made my visit to the dentist a good one where I felt that I wouldn’t mind coming to the dentist at all as I disliked dental visits because i was always nervous or scared.

Very friendly staff. Cleaning was efficient and not too uncomfortable. Wait was a little long but staff was very apologetic. Overall great feel!

Dr. Janet Tanega is very knowledgeable and definitely makes sure you understand everything in detail. She also makes sure you're comfortable and tries to understand your dental goals. I would definitely recommend her. She even tries to make sure she knows you as well as her staff.

If only I could give Dr. Tanega more than 5 stars it would be a 10! That's how great of a dentist and specialist she is. I have been referred by my cousin, Candace Claudio, to her office originally for Ortho ever since I was in my early teens, however because I liked her work ethic and the way she took care of me, I moved to her office for general work as well. There's no other dentist and specialist that I would move to. Highly recommend her to anyone who wants a dentist that actually cares about her patients.

Thanks to Yelp, I found Dr. Tanega while looking for a dentist to take my children to on a Saturday. We can't do appointments during the week due to school. The front office staff had no problem scheduling my four children all on one Saturday. Helene the dental hygienist who did the cleanings complimented my daughter on her teeth which put her at ease with her new dentist. Free parking is sufficient, the office is clean and modern and Dr. Tanega is very compassionate, as well as funny and approachable. She really does earn a five star rating on Yelp.

Dr. Tanega makes you feel at home. Her attention to detail and thoughtfulness is apparent not only in her decor in her office but the staff in it ! A happy patient! Dr. Tanega and her staff make dental appointments fun and effective. I don't know anyone who loves to have dental work done but the relaxed and inviting atmosphere definitely put me at ease. I appreciate Dr. Tanega's expertise and how she is very transparent about what's going on with my teeth! She is very professional and dedicated to "getting it done right". She always makes a point to say that if there's something that needs fixing to come to her and she'll take care of it without a problem. I can say from personal experience that her statement is true. The staff including RJ, the office manager, are pleasant to work with and really care about your dental health. They are ready to answer questions and give helpful advice on how to maintain the best dental routine. Several people from my job go here and love it as well! Thanks Tanega Dental! I love Dr. Tanega ! She's very approachable and easy to talk to. My previous dentist ruined my teeth and gums. Luckily Dr. Tanega worked her magic and brought my smile back to life. The staff is very courteous. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !!

My girlfriend referred Dr. Tanega. I've been going to her for almost 7 years and was pleased each time I came. Dr Tanega has always delivered with what I felt was excellent care. I definitely agree with the other yelps on here in that she really does make you feel good about the whole thing. Her staff; Oxana, Mae, And Jo are also excellent in doing what they do. Bottom line is, if you like a good dentist, that does a variety of services, and runs a tight ship, with an excellent crew, you would not regret going to Tanega dental!

Dr. Tanega is 5 Stars in my book!! She has been taking care of me since 1997. EVERY single appointment I have had with her has been GREAT! I always listen to her recommendations and because of that, my teeth have transformed, and I now have a great big smile. When I am in that chair, she gives me her utmost attention, and ALWAYS listens to my concerns. Even though she is the expert, and has been a dentist for almost all her life, she always has the time to sit down, pay attention, and listen to what I have to say. She just doesn't brush it off, and think she is better than you, just like how I have experienced with my previous dentists. She will definitely make you feel comfortable while you are laying down with your mouth open. She always let's me know what she is doing and why she is doing it or recommending it. If I can give DR. Tanega more than 5 stars, I would definitely do it!! Thanks Dr. Tanega, you are really the best in my book!!

Dr. Tanega is the best. She was just named on Best of the Bay this year youtube.com/watch?v=6zKl… Dr. Tanega and her hygienists are wonderful. They take good care of my teeth, are restrained in giving the "flossing lecture," and keep in mind both urgency and the limits of one's dental insurance plan when recommending non-routine procedures. Plus, although they play the dentist-office-standard easy listening music, you can also watch TV while having your teeth cleaned. Bonus points for being non-judgemental and not commenting about my penchant for trashy TV and ADD-like channel surfing. I always love the moment when they (hopefully) declare me cavity free and send me forth with a spanking new toothbrush and floss. The only bad advice I ever received in Dr. Tanega's office was by another patient who referred me to a job recruiter who has yet to come through with any job offers what so ever. I don't think you can blame Dr. Tanega for business referrals from her patients though.
