The first visit was amazing and this was nothing different. The staff there were very kind and friendly. I had a lot of anxiety coming in which they were quickly able to dissipate due to their calm, manner. She had to get help fro 2 other people. She also did not speak very loud and was very unclear with her instructions and questions. Dr. Kollia was an overdose of energy. My hygienist took the time to make sure I understood everything in my treatment plan and showed great consideration of my comfort while doing the exam and x-rays. What impressed me the most about Dr. Kollia's practice was the attention to detail and customer service. For example, I was offered a free chapstick so I could be comfortable while having my mouth open for so long. It was a small gesture, but showed so much care and concern for the patient. From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed on a first name basis, and the office was modern and clean. After a bit of digital paperwork, I was escorted by their hygienist to get x-rays as a new patient. This was simple, and she provided clear information every step of the way in a calm demeanor. When I went in for the deep cleaning, I was also given a remote to watch Netflix, and several options on numbing. They made sure that I was comfortable during the entire process. My only concern is that I'm gonna have to make 3 visits to clean my mouth rather than 2. This was the most educational dentist appointment I’ve ever been to which is unusual because usually you can sit through it, but Dr. Kollia’s office explain everything from teeth measurements to insurance and services in lots of detail! So much chatter did make it seem like the group was in a rush. The equipment seemed top of the line and well maintained. For a first time visit with x-rays, a cleaning, a discovered cavity and last minute filling, I was in and out in about 2 hours. I even ran into an old friend in the lobby. They're great with my dental anxiety, talked to me why it exists, what other providers have done to me to make it worse and designed my treatment plan so I wouldn't have more dental anxiety from it.
