Dr. So Young Park received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco in 2012. Before attending dental school, Dr. Park studied for a Bachelor of Science in Neurobiology and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from University of California, Davis. Dr. Park began traveling the world at a young age and has called Korea, Australia, Russia, Japan, and Egypt home at different times throughout her life. This global perspective provides a wide lens within her dental practice, and affords her the ability to connect with people from all walks of life (the degree in psychology probably doesn't hurt either!). She has called the Bay Area home since 1999, and loves the vast blend of cultures and backgrounds in her community. Dr. Park is committed to the relationship between patient and doctor. She is transparent and thorough in her work, offering a unique path that works best for you. She enjoys continuing education and is constantly seeking out cutting-edge technology that can enhance your experience and dental health. She also collaborates with colleagues in study club sessions. Outside of the office, Dr. Park enjoys practicing yoga, breaking a sweat on a hike, movie marathons, and being surrounded by friends and family.

Normally when somebody walks in to a dentist office, it’s not the most pleasant experience. Usually one is either nervous, afraid, or sees this visit as something on their list of the dread to do. When I came into his office, I was immediately greeted, and almost instantly I felt welcomed and comfortable. All of the staff here is genuine. They are blunt, but not offensive. They tell you what you need to hear, and they don’t hide anything from you. These people at this office are super kind. The doctor herself was a joy, and her assistant had me rolling. This practice in particular makes dental visits a blast. I will definitely be coming here for visits, and just to say hello.

The practice was so welcoming. I have multiple piercings in my face and no one made feel uncomfortable because I was not able to take them off, they made it no bid deal. Once the Dr came in she got some basic information and she told me she would dive in and then give me my options on treatment. She gave me the best cleaning I’ve ever had and she gave me a plan of action just like she said. She worked with me on my treatment plan since k wanted to break it down since I have a fear of Dentist and she was very understanding/accommodating. I already had my next appt w her. (This is one of the first appts I’ve ever had when I wasn’t shamed for not flossing all the time.)
