Dr Defaii and his staff are amazing. I got Perio scaling and root planing done and i am very happy with the results. I am glad I found him. I definitely recommend him and will visit him again.

The staff was all very friendly and genuine about providing quality care for your specific needs. Clear with what next steps are and scheduling was easier. A very clean and sanitized environment.

Get super anxious at dentist visits. He however made it the best trip to the dentist ever. As he would do things he would explain why and constantly ask how I was doing. Definitely recommending him to everyone I know!

Dr. Defaii is the most thorough dentist I've ever been to. His office is a well-oiled machine with kind staff-members who work with him throughout your visit to get things done in a timely fashion. I've visited his office 7 times in the past year for deep cleanings, pre-cavity fillings and regular check-ups. I'm extremely happy with my care at his office and refer people to him regularly. My husband now sees him and we even took our 1 year-old daughter to her first dental appointment with him. Your initial visit with him is a consultation where he does a through assessment of more than your teeth. He checks your gums, tongue, soft palate, hard palate, lymph nodes, thyroid gland, etc. He takes x-rays and high-resolution photos to help discuss your oral hygiene. He then goes through recommendations and together you make a group-decision on care. As most dental insurances only pay for part of your care, they give your clear estimates for dental work and a timeline. After his visits for dental work, he calls you personally to check up on you and make sure everything is ok. Dr. Defaii is energetic, thorough, respectful and so kind. Highly recommend him to anyone!

Dr. Defaii actually listens to his patients and takes into consideration your feeling and worries. I am moving out of the Bay Area and I have to say I am going to miss him and his team. I would consider driving four hours to see him! Thank you Dr. Defaii for being a great dentist and person!

Dr. Defaii is as good as it gets. I have been going to Dr. Defaii for years now probably over 10. I have had root canals, teeth pulled, crowns, cavities, and wisdom teeth pulled (within those 10 years to be clear) worked on. He has been nothing but professional, kind, funny and has made me feel like family. His staff has always been nice and professional as well. His office is always clean and sanitized, thanks to his great staff. He works on multiple patients at times, but i never felt like he rushed through me or ignored me. He gives me great tips on how to keep my teeth clean and gums healthy. When i became diabetic, he took extra precautions to accommodate me. Also, I have since moved to Palo Alto and make the drive every 3 months for a cleaning and check up and to chat with him. He is easy to get ahold of on the phone if i had any questions on teeth issues. Whenever anyone ask me to recommend a dentist I let them know about Dr. Defaii. Like i said he is as good as it gets.

Dr. Defaii is an incredible dentist who places great emphasis on patient. Both he and his staff are extremely focused on ensuring that everyone receives the best overall experience from his office. The instruments are extremely clean and well taken care of. Dr. Defaii has done an excellent job of taking care of my teeth for years. Highly recommend this dentistry to anyone.

Dr Defaii is probably the best dentist in the world. So if you live in San Jose, and want to feel relaxed, not embarrassed, and need help to get your mouth back on track, or a great routine dentist that will keep your smile going the distance, this is the place to go. I've been anti-dentist too long, and really needed help getting my mouth back into a healthy state. A decade of putting off a visit, and "ya got problems" is pretty much how my mouth was. Dr Defaii and staff, are amazingly warm, and responsive. I've enjoyed leaving every visit. The time is taken to ensure you feel comfortable, and are ready to rock and roll, then Dr Defaii does his magic. He makes going to the dentist feel effortless, and does his art with such skill and precision that my mouth hasn't felt this great in YEARS. I'm continually excited to keep up on the repairs, with the amazing work that is done at San Jose Smile Center. I can't recommend this dental practice enough. Teeth are an important part of life, and one that we all take for granted too long until issues arise. Take care of those issues today before they become huge problems, and have Dr Defaii take care of you by creating and applying an amazing treatment plan.

Doctor Defaii is amazing. He is very calming and reassuring. I have a very hard time going to see a dentist because of past experiences. Dr. Defaii did everything to push those fears away. I am so glad that I made the decision to come to him for care. I have no doubt that I will be returning as long as I can. I have finally found a dentist I can trust and relax with.

I have very bad teeth, and an extremely HIGH resistance to numbing medication. This means I have been to an overwhelming number of dentists over the years, many turning out to be horribly painful due to my inability to get numb. Doctor Defaii is extremely calming and professional. He worked hard to find a way that I could get the necessary treatment MUCH more comfortably and I am very grateful! I also like that I can always trust him to be honest about what needs to be done and where I can wait or be conservative. They've been great about working with my insurance to make sure I get the most coverage possible.

I found Dr. Defaii to be very good at what he does, he is funny and makes you feel at ease.

My whole family was treated beyond our expectation by all the staff in this clinic. Dr. Defaii did not just fix our dental problems but his follow up calls on how we are doing after the visits with procedures are unexpected. I've never met a doctor that's so concerned and takes time to know how the patients were doing after we left their clinic. Two thumbs up to Dr. Defaii and his team. I bring all my three kids ages 5-10 and they all are excited to have dental check-ups and not a hint of fear as I used to when hearing the word "going to dentist" before. :)

I can actually say after seeing Dr. Defaii, I do not experience the high level of anxiety, tears and fear!!! I hadn't been to a dentist in years, and because of that I was very self conscious of how I would be treated. Dr. Defaii explained to me the importance of scheduling regular checkups. He did a root canal for me last year and just this past week, an extraction that literally took two minutes!!! He always makes sure that you are comfortable and not in any pain during your procedure. The oral sedation is definitely worth it if you're like me. He even took time out of his day to go to his office and write me a prescription on HIS DAY OFF!!! Thank you again Dr. Defaii and I will see you in a couple of weeks for my deep cleaning!!!
