Dr. Tran is a leading provider of comprehensive dental care serving patients in and around the Greater San Francisco, CA, area. With nearly a decade in private practice at Modern Family Dental on Spruce Street and considerable experience practicing in other locations, Dr. Tran has extensive experience caring for patients with a wide range of oral health issues, providing state-of-the-art care options including crowns and bridges, resin composite bonding, veneers, teeth whitening, implant retained dentures, night guards, complete smile makeovers, and full mouth restorations. Dr. Tran is a member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, the San Francisco Dental Society and the Osseointegration Study Club of Southern California (OSCSC), the oldest implant study club in the nation. He has earned his bachelor's degree in neurobiology, physiology and behavior from the University of California, Davis, followed by his dental degree at the highly-competitive Nova Southeastern University in Florida and a general practice residency at Maimonides Medical Center in New York City. Dr. Tran strongly believes in continuous education and travels all over the country to various institutes to learn new and advanced methods and technology to not only constantly improve his practice, but to also offer the best services to his patients. In addition to caring for patients at his private practice, Dr. Tran serves as an adjunct professor at UCSF teaching Prosthetic and Restorative Dentistry since 2012. Dr. Tran has also provided oral health services and care at the Solano County dental clinic and at the region's homeless shelter, receiving the county's “employee of the year” award in 2007. Dr.Tran enjoys the opportunity to work with new patients and to build long-lasting professional relationships. During his free time, he enjoys snowboarding, bicycling and weightlifting, as well as other sports.
Moving from NYC to Cali I needed to find a new dentist. I was a little wary of just picking someone randomly, but I was referred to Dr. Tran. He's about an hour away from where I live but I made a day of it and I'm glad I went. This is a dentist who knows his craft. I don't take the best care of my teeth and always expect a hard scraping from a dentist visit. Although he had to put in work to scrape off all the goop the pain level was minimal to practically non existent. I left with a much cleaner mouth and more knowledge regarding flossing and alternatives. Thanks Dr. Tran see you again in few months! Parking on site is also a major plus

I've been a patient of Dr Tran since 2013 & he's been the absolute best! Having had terrible experiences at other places, I've become deathly afraid of the dentist. Dr Tran and his staff were all very understanding, caring, and friendly. They made sure to explain everything to me even just "I'm going to get you water now". Dr Tran is extremely knowledgeable and experienced in his craft. He never tries to sell me in any products and only gives his true professional opinion on stuff I ask him. His front desk and assistants are also very professional and caring. They pay close attention to detail on everything. I've never had any troubles scheduling or contacting his office. They are prompt and never forget to follow up on things. All my procedures have been painless and done in a reasonable amount of time. If you're looking for a good overall dentist, this is the place to go hands down in SF!

I've been going to Dr. Tran since he took over the practice from Dr. Huira - and I really thought she was a good dentist but he is even better. I've had a couple of crowns done from him and they are beautiful. They feel natural and match perfectly. I also really love Linda his hygienist. Can't say enough nice things about them!

Dr Tran is very knowledgeable, caring, and genuinely cares about his patients. Office is very clean, staff is very helpful and overall my experience in this dental office has been spectacular. Very happy with my experience and the result of every work that Dr. Tran has done in my mouth.

Dr. Tran is the best dentist I've ever had. For those who want a bit more detail on why he's so awesome, keep reading. First, Dr. Tran is a great listener. He's very keen to hear about your concerns in great detail, and encourages you to take your time fleshing out every aspect of your particular dental situation. Second, Dr. Tran and his staff make it a point to take your own preferences into account when crafting a treatment plan. If there's something that you would like to address first, they will honor your wishes. In other words, your dental treatment winds up being a collaborative effort. Third, I've never had a dentist more committed to getting every little single thing right. Every procedure he's done has been masterfully completed. Even if you drop by for a simple cleaning, you'll be surprised at how easy it is to tell Dr. Tran's work from that of another dentist. This is what he was born to do. Fourth, Dr. Tran only uses state of the art equipment. In addition, the office is welcoming and serene, which helps immensely when you're having dental work done.
