Dr. Michael Andersen - Prosthodontist

Dr. Andersen graduated from dental school at the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio and completed a GPR at the National Naval Medical Center, Bethesda. Upon graduation from residency in Prosthodontics at the Naval Postgraduate Dental School, he received the Chief of the Dental Corps Award for Excellence presented to the top graduate across all residency programs for clinical and academic performance. Following residency, he achieved Board Certification by the American Board of Prosthodontics and completed fellowship training in Maxillofacial Prosthetics and Oral Oncology at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. He is a fellow of the American College of Prosthodontists, Associate Fellow of the American Academy of Maxillofacial Prosthetics, and member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and San Diego County Dental Society. Dr. Andersen is passionate about improving quality of life for his patients and takes special interest in rehabilitation of patients with maxillofacial trauma, benign or malignant disease. His favorite aspect of working at Flawless Dental Studio is the team's ability to provide patients with the highest quality treatment using the latest technologies and dental materials in a calm, safe, and collaborative environment. Dr. Andersen’s personal hobbies are exploring the many gifts San Diego has to offer with his beautiful wife and three wonderful children under the age of seven.
