Dr. Medina attended Rockhurst College in Kansas City, Missouri and was accepted into the early entrance program at the University of Missouri School of Dentistry. Graduating in 1973, he entered the U.S. Navy and was stationed in San Diego for two years. Before settling in Rancho Peñasquitos in 1980 he was active in developing dental programs for 3 years with the Native California Indians and had a private practice in Chula Vista, California. Dr. Medina and his wife have 4 sons and are both very active in the community involved in Little League baseball and youth soccer. He is particularly interested in implant dentistry, dental reconstruction and cosmetic dentistry. He attends many hours of continuing education on a regular basis. He maintains membership in the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, San Diego County Dental Society and the Pacific Academy of Esthetic Dentistry.
