Dr. Ronald J. Caldwell graduated from Colorado State University in 1994 before completing his dental degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston in 2003. He has practiced in the area since 2005. Dr. Caldwell is very active in continuing education and is also a member of the Texas Dental Association and Capital Area Dental Society. As a dentist, Dr. Caldwell strives to treat patients conservatively, effectively, and efficiently with the highest quality in mind. Outside the office, Dr. Caldwell is an avid hunter and golfer. He also enjoys spending time with his wife, Marnie; his son, Cameron; and his daughters, Kate and Caroline.
As a disabled Vet. with very little time left, Doctor Caldwell did everything within his power to quickly solve my dental problems. May GOD bless him and his courteous staff.

This is THE best dentist office I have ever been to. Dr. Caldwell is such an amazing dentist. I've had a lot of work done so let's just say it's a place I'm pretty familiar with. I've gotten to know a few people by first name because I've had a big chunk of dental work done this past year. Dr.Caldwell, he's very smart, friendly and has such an amazing way of explaining what needs to be done. I can tell he really does have a passion for his career as well as his patients. Very easy to get along with and always has a smile on his face. He's very thorough and his main focus is to take care of pain and problem areas first. He doesn't ever make me feel rushed when I have questions. I trust him 110% and I'm comfortable with whatever treatment he recommends, I never have any doubts with my treatment plan. And trust me, before I started coming to Planet Smiles, my experiences with my previous dentist at another practice was terrible, unfortunately. I lost hope that I'd ever be happy with my smile. Dr. Caldwell goes over your x-rays with you and the way he explains things makes it very easy to understand. I've learned a lot from him. He's very gentle and I have never, ever had any pain or discomfort while I'm there. I've almost fallen asleep in the chair. His staff is always friendly. I've always noticed he is very kind to his dental assistants. Amy who works in the front as well as Megan are always SO nice!The other day I had to call the office and a man named Wylie answered the phone and he was very, very kind. I want to recognise him as well as Amy and Megan for doing such a wonderful job. My 3 year old daughter comes here and always leaves with a little goodie bag and a cool balloon! She loves the game room and I'm so happy that her first experiences going to a dentist have been nothing short of wonderful. I know many people don't like going to the dentist, but trust me, if you have a fear of going to the dentist I'm almost certain you'll leave no longer feeling this way. I highly recommend this place in the most heartfelt way. Trust me, I know going to the dentist isn't fun for many people and this place will change your mind as well as your family. I'm so lucky to have found this gem and I will never go anywhere else as long as Planet Smile is in business. Thank you all very much. Especially you Dr. Caldwell! Dr Caldwell and his wonderful staff provided me the best dental experience I've ever experienced. Dr Caldwell is warm and friendly and puts his patients at ease. He is very conservative in his approach to meeting the patients dental needs. I would recommend him to anyone at any time. His staff is very friendly and competent in their duties. They make going to the dentist a pleasure.

Dr. Caldwell is a warm and friendly dentist. Along with his staff, I was provided the best dental experience I have ever had. I had extensive restorative work done after I spent 2 yrs in hospice. While I survived, my teeth didn't. I am very grateful to Dr. Caldwell and his staff for all they did for me. The visits I had with Planet Smile were the best dental experiences I've ever had and will continue to use Dr Caldwell as my dentist. I would highly recommend him to anyone and everyone.

I would recommend Dr. Caldwell and his staff to anyone I know. The staff was very courteous and friendly, I got an emergency appointment for the next day, I didn't have to sir in the waiting area for more than a minute and was taken care of immediately. The staff is very knowledgeable and informed me of every step taken during my procedure. Not only would I recommend this dentist office, but can also guarantee that I won't consider any other dentist for myself or my children.
