Dr. David McKenna, DDS. “Dr. Dave” was born and raised in Palo Alto. His family moved here from San Francisco where his father J.B. graduated from Dental School, P&S (College of Physicians & Surgeons), and started McKenna Family Dentistry in 1958. Dr. Dave graduated from Cubberley High School. He went to the University of Colorado in Boulder and graduated with a B.A. in Biology and then returned to the Bay Area to attend Dental School. Dr. Dave earned his D.D.S. from the University of the Pacific in 1984. The McKenna father and son enjoyed working together and serving the community of greater Palo Alto until Dr. J.B. retired in 2001. Dr. Dave strives to treat all patients like extended family members. McKenna Family Dentistry provides cosmetic and family dentistry specializing in beautifying smiles and enhancing dental health. Dr. Dave is a dynamic, talented and caring dentist. He and his staff provide state of the art dentistry in a comfortable environment. Dave’s passions (outside of dentistry, of course) are softball, rollerblading, skiing and just about any game where the score is kept.... a true competitor!
