Dr. Jamali is Board certified by American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and Board certified by the National Dental Society of Anesthesiology. Dr. Jamali's 17 years of experience has given him an appropriate foundation for the administration of anesthesia and pain control for patients in our private practice. Few surgeons in the country have completed this additional training. Dr. Jamali maintains a thoughtful and professional demeanor while keeping his office friendly and comfortable for patients. Dr. Jamali started his career as a general dentist and dedicated 9 years to patient care. His pursuit of excellence was manifested in his cosmetic dentistry cases that were completed during that period. Dentistry was an exciting and rewarding career for Dr. Jamali. However, he took his career a step further and decided to become a surgeon. He completed 1 year of surgical internship at Downstate Medical Center and 4 years of residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Kings County Hospital Center in Brooklyn, New York, which is one of the largest level one trauma centers in the country. During his residency he received extensive training which included rotations through internal medicine, anesthesia, general surgery/trauma, plastic surgery and otolaryngology. Medicine is continuously advancing. Therefore, Dr. Jamali dedicates a significant amount of his free time to continuing education in oral and maxillofacial reconstruction. Over the years, his passion has become facial reconstructive (orthognathic) surgery. In pursuit of his passion he completed a fellowship in Orthognathic Surgery at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York. He was first influenced in this sub-specialty by mentor, Professor Johan Reyneke, author of multiple texts and scientific articles on the subject of Facial Reconstructive Surgery.
