Dr. Priya Rao has more than 10 years of experience in general and family dentistry, including as the owner of her own private practice. Priya was born in India, where she earned her Bachelors in Science from St. Aloysius College, and her first degree in dentistry (BDS) from the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. After getting married, she moved to Singapore to join her Canadian husband. A few years later, they relocated to North America, where Priya entered into the advanced standing DDS program at the University of Minnesota’s School of Dentistry in Minneapolis. After graduating, Priya returned to Toronto, receiving her license from the RCDSO shortly thereafter. Priya is a member of the Ontario Dental Association (ODA), Minnesota Dental Association (MDA), American Dental Association (ADA), and the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD). She is currently pursuing a mini-residency in Implantology at TIDE. Priya is passionate about dentistry and her expertise lies in treating patients of all ages, including boisterous 3-year olds and the youthful 90-year olds! In her words – “The best part of my dental practice is the look and radiance on my patient’s face after I have taken care of their pain or dental troubles”. Priya lives in Toronto and during her free time, enjoys painting, reading, gardening and exploring new places along with her husband.
