Dr. Greg Hurtado

Dr. Greg Hurtado was born and raised in Southern California, although he lived and practiced dentistry in Hawaii for 24 years! He and his family agree that San Diego has even better weather than Hawaii, which is only one of the many reasons why he decided to return home to practice dentistry with his long-time colleague and friend, Dr. Jeff Gray. Dr. Hurtado graduated from the University of California, San Francisco School of Dentistry and spent significant time after dental school continuing to learn the latest advancements in dental treatment and technology. He is a graduate from the esteemed Kois Center, where he chose to receive advanced training because he understands that constant learning is essential to becoming a better dentist. Dr. Hurtado has specialized training in cosmetic dentistry, endodontics (root canals), and implant and sedation dentistry. He has spent thousands of hours honing his craft in the advanced dental techniques that allow him to create beautiful smiles for even the most complex cases. He also has his CEREC certification, which allows him to create high-quality, same-day dental crowns. If Dr. Hurtado could choose a second career in addition to being a dentist, he would love to be a golfing coach. He has been playing golf since he was 5 years old and now gets to play the course with his son! “ We enjoy caring for people and finding out how we can [serve] care for them to restore health, [the chewing ability] give them back their confidence,and help them get the smile they are hoping for. We specialize in Sedation Dentistry! This allows us to comfortably care for people who have had poor experiences, have high anxiety, Have lost hope, can’t get numb or just would like to accomplish a lot of work in as few visits as possible. We never judge or have any shame or blame with our patients. We care for the person attached to the teeth first.”
