Exceptional dentist.

Very professional and friendly. Went out of his way to provide additional service for having to wait an extra 5-10 minutes. He was extremely apologetic.

I used Dr. Hammes while living in Chicago for a grad school program. I didn't end up needing any services beyond some routine cleanings but I have nothing but good things to say about my experience. Dr. Hammes and his staff were kind, attentive, and on time. If I still lived in Chicago, I'd definitely still be a patient!

Dr. Peter was very helpful and knowledgeable. He made sure I left with no questions and handled my teeth with great care. Will definitely be coming back!

Dr. Hammes was incredibly friendly and explained everything we did very simply. His technician, Finella (spelling?) did a great job with the cleaning even though I had not had a professional cleaning in over two years. Definitely making this my regular place!

Dr. Hammes is very personable and knowledgeable, and his staff was very kind. My first exam was extremely thorough (give yourself 1.5-2 hours!), with xrays, a Dental Cone-beam Computed Tomography scan, pictures of my teeth to monitor erosion over time (since I clench my jaw at night), + your typical scraping, polishing and fluoride. Delta Dental has great coverage there, with the only cost being the fluoride at $40. I have my follow up in 6 months and would recommend to anyone in West Loop area!

Hadn’t been to dentist in 5 years. Dr. Hammes and his assistant made me feel comfortable and reassured.

Dr. Hammes was absolutely amazing! No one goes into a dentist appointment expecting much, but I was blown away. Dr. Hammes took the time to explain all of my x-rays and images to me in depth; it was fascinating, and I learned so much! His office is beautiful, and I loved getting to watch Netflix (Blue Planet) while I had my cleaning. Dr. Hammes is down-to-earth and genuine. You can tell he really cares about his patients, and enjoys what he does! His assistant Liz was wonderful as well, overall phenomenal experience.

Never had a dentist so detail oriented and take the time to explain to me the xray and all of the exams.

Dr Hammes and his staff are great! They are very friendly, informative, and great at what they do. They were also able to provide a treatment plan and made sure that all of the information they provided was easy to understand.

I absolutely adore Dr Hammes - hands down the best dentist I've ever seen, and the last one I ever want to see. He's so kind and respectful, always makes sure you understand what's happening and what your options are before doing anything, and his staff are just as good.

Can't recommend Dr. Hammes enough. I was a little nervous as I can't remember the last time I went to the dentist. Everyone was lovely and Dr. Hammes was an absolute pleasure, easy peasy!

I really liked the office, very gorgeous. The staff was super friendly! My only reason for not giving 5 stars, was that the office was a bit hard to find, which was frustrating at first (BUT they are working on getting better signage - I think the space is quite new). I did have a little wait as well and the initial hygienist I spoke with before the Dr. kind of confused me with too many details up front. But all in all I think everyone was really nice and once I saw the Dr. everything was easy to understand and he talked me through things step by step. I'll be switching to have Dr. Hammes and his team be be my full time dental team!
