Dr. Katrina Baeverstad

Dr. Katrina Baeverstad is delighted to be the proud new owner of In The Loop Dental since December 2020. Dr. Baeverstad resides in the Chicagoland area where she has practiced dentistry for over a decade and is thrilled to be a part of the In The Loop Dental family. Dr. Baeverstad attended St. Olaf College for her undergraduate degree where she received a BA in Religion in 2004. She then went on to attend the University of Michigan School of Dentistry where she obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2009. Upon graduation, Dr. Baeverstad was accepted into a residency program in general dentistry at Boston University School of Dental Medicine, with completion in 2010. She has been a member of the ADA, ISDS and CDS since 2010. In her spare time, Dr. Baeverstad is an active member of CARA (Chicago Area Runners Association) and is currently training for her sixth marathon in Berlin, Germany this fall. She enjoys being outdoors, cycling, traveling, reading and spending time with her family in Northern Michigan. She lives with her adopted greyhound Maisie, a retired racer, in the Lincoln Square neighborhood of Chicago.

Dr. Baeverstad is skilled in several procedures that can improve the health and appearance of teeth including INVISALIGN, whitening systems, tooth fillings, crowns and veneers. She always chooses the very best materials available in order to achieve the most visually pleasing and comfortable results for her patients. Among the cosmetic and restorative services she offers are tooth colored fillings, porcelain crowns and bridges, dental bonding and veneers, and even partial or full dentures. Beyond those, she also offers Boost whitening treatments to help her patients feel pride and confidence in their smile. Whitening is a great option for patients with stained teeth due to food and beverage intake or a medical condition.

Which cases do you enjoy treating? Why?

Dr. Baeverstad performs careful dental exams and cleanings to maintain her patients’ dental health using state of the art technology such as digital x-rays (which use much less radiation than traditional x-rays), cavity detectors, and intraoral cameras to get a full picture of your dental needs. Regular cleanings and exams are crucial to maintaining dental health and avoiding painful problems. Dr. Baeverstad uses her gentle, precise technique to make you feel comfortable and explains each step of the process as she works. Patients who have had a visit with Dr. Baeverstad know just how gentle and kind she is – and that’s what keeps them coming back for more care.
