Dr. Rupenzil Gill

I was born and raised in India, before settling in Calgary, Alberta. Coming from a family of educationists, lawyers, and bureaucrats, I really wanted something different, particularly something related to health care. Dentistry seemed exciting, interesting and artistic – everything I was looking for! Creating a beautiful smile is truly a work of art, and I feel blessed to be living my dream! I received a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from India, followed by a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 2010 from the renowned New York University College of Dentistry. After graduation, I moved to Calgary, and have been a proud Canadian practicing dentistry in this beautiful city ever since! My passion for dentistry continues to grow every day! I enjoy all aspects of dentistry, from helping to alleviate patients’ tooth pain, to helping patients achieve their cosmetic goals. I feel that each patient’s needs and desires are unique, and require a personalized approach, fostering care, trust and integrity through continuous dialogue and education. I am committed to building long term relationships, by providing quality care to my patients in a professional, friendly, and modern setting. Along with the rest of the Dental on 8th team, I strive every day to be approachable, caring and skilled at what I do, all while making patient’s visits as pleasant as possible. In order to provide the highest standard of care to patients, I set aside a considerable amount of time for continuing education courses. I pride myself on being the first female dentist in Calgary to have invested in the modern technology of Solea® dental laser and Solea® sleep to improve dental visits, as I believe in the golden rule… “Treat others how you would like to be treated.” It is always my goal that patients benefit from the latest dental technology and walk out of the office feeling comfortable and confident about their experience at Dental on 8th. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two beautiful children, exploring outdoors, going on long drives, or just playing in the backyard. My favourite pastime is watching my favourite television shows with a cup of tea and playing board games with my kids!
