Dr. Ashish Oommen

Dr. Oommen is a General Dentist and has been practicing dentistry both internationally and in Canada for over 20 years. Dr. Oommen graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree (DMD). He looks forward to meeting new patients at Sandstone Dental and providing dental care for the communities of NW Calgary. Dr. Oommen is hugely passionate about dentistry, and his first priority is always the patient’s well-being. He is a certified Invisalign provider and has completed additional training in the treatment of Sleep Apnea and TMJ jaw pain and dysfunction. He especially enjoys working with children and tries his best to make sure they have a fun and positive experience. Dr. Oommen is also trained to offer dental sedation options to help anxious and nervous patients relax during their dental treatment. Ashish has volunteered with “Kindness in Action” in Ecuador, “Dentistry From The Heart” in Northern Alberta, and is currently volunteering with “The Alex Dental Health Bus” in Calgary, which provides oral health services to children and youth at schools in low-income, high-need areas. Dr. Oommen is a member of the Alberta Dental Association and College, the Canadian Dental Association, and the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. In his spare time, Ashish and his partner enjoy cycling on the trails in Calgary and Banff. He is also a self-proclaimed foodie who loves trying all the fantastic restaurants Calgary has to offer.
