Dr. Reesha Rafiq

Dr. Rafiq is a dedicated and compassionate General Dentist based in New York City. Dr. Rafiq finished her high school in Long Island, NY and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health from Stony Brook University. She then went on to pursue her passion for dentistry and acquired her doctorate in dental medicine from New York University College of Dentistry. She also completed her post-graduate General Practice Residency training at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. During her senior year in dental school, Dr. Rafiq got to participate in a Mini Residency Program at Odyssey House (NYC rehabilitation center). There she was able to provide comprehensive dental treatment to patients with significant addiction problems and improve their quality of life by taking care of their oral health needs. She also participated in many local outreach and community service programs over the years and believes in giving back to the community. During her residency training, Dr. Rafiq treated a diverse population of patients of all ages and managed the various dental and medical complexities involved with their oral care. Not only did she hone her skills during this training, but she also gained significant experience in pediatric dentistry, endodontics and oral surgery. Dr. Rafiq currently holds her dental licenses in New York and New Jersey. She takes great pride In her detailed, conservative approach to treatment and is committed to provide excellent dental care to her patients. She keeps herself up-to-date with the latest technologies and advances in dentistry by attending continuing education courses. Outside of work, Dr. Rafiq loves to spend her leisure time traveling, exploring her favorite city (NYC), trying new restaurants and spending quality time with family and friends.

What are the top 3 treatments that you focus on?

My main focus is patient comfort, preventative dental exams, to diagnose and detect early, and preventative dental treatment including fillings and crowns as needed.

At Leaf we are providing mostly routine, bread and butter dentistry. I enjoy doing any treatment that takes care of my patients dental needs and provides them comfort.
