Dr. Kayla Lebo

Dr. Lebo is a San Francisco Native, both born and raised in the city, who recently moved to Beverly Hills. ​From the age of three, she knew she was going to be a Dentist. At sixteen years old she raised 10K and co-founded a local charity called Smile-for-a-lifetime-SF, which provides free orthodontic treatment to local teens who cannot afford treatment. Over a decade later, she remains the Director of this charity, raising over 300K, with help from her co-founder Dr. Kalika, they have sponsored 50+ teens with beautiful new smiles via orthodontic treatment. ​Dr. Lebo earned her D.D.S. from the University of California, San Francisco. Following dental school, Dr. Lebo completed General Practice Residency with the Oral maxillofacial surgery department at the University of California, San Francisco. During this intensive program, Dr. Lebo received additional training in interdisciplinary and comprehensive restorative care for healthy and medically complex patients, head and neck cancers, sleep medicine, TMJ disorders, oral-mucosa lesions, and dental care under IV sedation and General Anesthesia. As a holistic Dentist committed to providing the best possible care to her patients, ongoing education and training have also been a priority for Dr. Lebo. She continues to take numerous continuing education courses in cosmetic and biological holistic dentistry. She is an active member of the IAOMT and double-certified in Invisalign by both Invisalign and the AACA. ​In addition to Dental practice, Dr. Lebo is very passionate about holistic solutions to reducing and treating not only cavities but also periodontal disease. This May she won second place at the CDA (California Dental Association) competition among Dentists and Residents from all over the state for the innovation of an infused floss and oral rinse that utilizes 100% natural ingredients to reduce both periodontal diseases and caries risk – both backed up by research. Alongside Dentistry, since the age of 15, Kayla has been very involved in the non-profit sector, directing a digital media and IT program for at-risk Bay Area youth. To this day she continues to train and mentor youth in animation, television direction, production, magazine, and podcast production. ​In her free time, she enjoys cooking, juicing, working out & hiking.

According to the Mayo Clinic, studies suggest that oral bacteria and inflammation associated with gum disease may contribute to any number of serious conditions, including endocarditis, Alzheimer's, diabetes, pregnancy, and pneumonia just to name a few. One of the most rewarding aspects of practicing Dentistry for me has always been merging the transition of improved oral health to overall health. The icing on the cake has been seeing the happiness in my patients' faces as they see their smiles transition whenever cosmetics are included. I love what I do and I am confident you will too.

What are the top 3 treatments that you focus on?

I am skilled in all areas of dentistry, but primarily focus on Cosmetics, Invisalign, and TMJ Botox in my practice. I believe very strongly in continuing my education and completing advanced training programs in Biological dentistry, orthodontics, periodontics, and Cosmetic Dentistry to make sure I can provide the highest quality of dentistry to all my patients.

Our practice is equipped with state-of-the-art technology to improve oral health accurately. This allows us to efficiently diagnose any oral health conditions that you may be experiencing. Our materials are selectively chosen to be not only environmentally conscientious and BPA-free but also biocompatible.

Which cases do you enjoy treating? Why?

I am very enthusiastic about biological dentistry. The mouth truly is a mirror of your health. The biological Dentistry concept is the intersection of modern medicine and dentistry. We promote healing, minimize toxins, and mimic nature. I incorporate this into every treatment I perform. My favorite cases include a comprehensive transformation of the smile, from the gingiva to the teeth, to the airways.
