Meet Dr. Jonathan Peri—a Los Angeles native and skilled Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon with an impressive academic and professional background. Dr. Peri began his journey with a Bachelor of Arts from UC San Diego and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the prestigious UCSF School of Dentistry. He went on to obtain his Medical Degree (MD) from Stony Brook University School of Medicine, where he honed his expertise through a rigorous 6-year surgical residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and a 1-year General Surgery internship at Northwell-Long Island Jewish Medical Center. Dr. Peri brings this wealth of experience and a warm, patient-centered approach to his practice, skillfully applying minimally invasive surgical techniques to provide the highest standard of care. His dedication has led him to practice across both coasts, making him a beloved professional known for his charismatic personality and commitment to excellence. When he's not working or expanding his knowledge, Dr. Peri enjoys family time, traveling, and cheering for the Lakers. What are the top 3 treatments that you focus on?

1. Dental Implants: Dental implants are a permanent solution to replace missing teeth. They are surgically placed into the jawbone and act as a replacement for the root of a missing tooth. 2. Wisdom Tooth Extraction: Wisdom teeth are the last set of molars to come in and can cause overcrowding, gum infections, and other issues if they are not removed. 3. Bone Grafting: Bone grafting is a surgical procedure used to replace missing bone in areas in need of further reconstruction or future implant placement.

Which cases do you enjoy treating? Why?

I enjoy treating a variety of oral surgery cases, including wisdom teeth extractions, dental implants, bone grafting/reconstruction, pathology removal, and cosmetics. I find these cases particularly rewarding because they can have a significant impact on a patient's quality of life. Wisdom teeth extractions can help to prevent overcrowding and misalignment of the teeth, dental implants can restore a patient's ability to chew and speak properly, and pathology reconstruction/cosmetic surgery can help to improve a patient's facial symmetry and overall appearance.
