SKILLED DENTIST IN ARLINGTON Dr. Steven Peterson knew he wanted to be a dentist from the time he was a child. His own childhood dentist was calm and caring, and that informed the kind of dental professional Dr. Peterson wanted to be. He focuses on treating the oral health of his patients efficiently and effectively in a way that helps them feel comfortable, without pressuring them into treatments or services they may not actually want or need. He takes great comfort in knowing his patients are happy and well taken care of. PERSONAL LIFE Dr. Peterson met his lovely wife in Sri Lanka while serving as a missionary. They’ve made their home in Southlake, Texas, with their three children, Grant, Shreya, and Beckham, where they enjoy the friendly, small-town feel. They are an active family and love spending time outdoors. Dr. Peterson’s hobbies include hiking, camping, fishing, and training for triathlons. Why should patients choose you as their provider instead of others in the area?

We are very patient focused. Dr. Peterson and his staff are focused on our patient's needs and desires. If you tell us you would like to consider different treatment options, we are happy to take time to discuss other treatment options and their benefits. We don't rush our patients and want them to feel like they are confident in the treatment they have selected.

What are the top 3 treatments that you focus on?

We place a lot implants to replace teeth or secure dentures. Dr. Peterson has advanced training in implant therapy, and can answer any questions you might have about implant therapy. We do also do many root canals for patients that come into our clinic in pain. When we have a patient come into the clinic in pain, we will do everything we can do provide treatment the same day to get you out of pain. We place many crowns and bridges. Dental crowns are an excellent way of protecting and providing longevity to a tooth that has had a long history of dental decay and fillings. Dental crowns and bridges are probably the most common procedure done in our office.

What are you proud of in your practice?

We are proud of the feeling of community, care and gratitude in our practice. Patients are always telling us how comfortable they feel here, and how their fears are alleviated by our gentle touch and compassionate care. We love serving those in our community, and love seeing their bright smiles.

Which cases do you enjoy treating? Why?

We enjoy treating patient's with extensive dental needs who are anxious about their dental visit. We love to see patient's overcome their dental fears, and get the smile they have always dreamed about having. We also enjoy treating patient with dental emergencies. It is so rewarding to have a patient come into our clinic in pain, and leave feeling pain free and happy with the treatment they received.
